Cast of Characters
Hastings Kilgore Eli Kilgore Peter Wipp "Snug" Snugworth Elliott Krauthammer
Hastings' First Appearance! Eli's First Appearance! Peter's First Appearance! Snug's First Appearance! Elliott's First Appearance!
Hastings Kilgore is a rude, sexist, bigoted, seven-times-divorced workaholic. He loves his mother more than life itself, and lives with his unempoyed brother, Eli. Hastings is known to be a cold, unfeeling business monster, but has shown a soft side and tends to fall hard for all the wrong ladies.
Eli Kilgore mooches off his workaholic brother Hastings, bounces from dead-end job to dead-end job, and mostly just hangs around with his best friend from high school, Snug. He has no particular ambition in life other than to continue mooching off his brother until he kills him, eats him, or both. Peter Wipp is a high school student currently interning for Hastings in a business office after school. He is soft-spoken and sensitive, but seldom holds his tongue when it comes to telling his boss when he's being horrible, which is often. Peter enjoys art and harbors a near-constant fear of death. Snug, a high school dropout, still lives in his mother's basement and believes he is 18 years old. He loves heavy metal music and not having a job. Snug tend to overreact about things that are important to him. His weaknesses include easy listening music and salt. Elliott is one of Hastings' co-workers at Poisonwood Brands, and his lifelong arch enemy. He is an arrogant, lazy, smarmy womanizer whose only mission in life is to out-blackmail Hastings and finally get him fired.

Elliott is a big fat jerk and proud of it.

Mother Kilgore Hope Kilgore Tom Wipp Karl Kilgore Mr. Ladwig
Mother's First Appearance! Hope's First Appearance! Tom's First Appearance! Karl's First Appearance! Ladwig's First Appearance!
Hastings' and Eli's mother is a bitter old crow, and will do anything to keep her son Hastings under her thumb. However, she is fairly ambivalent towards her other son, and he appears to share the sentiment. She had a strained relationship with her own father, and is extremely greedy. Hope is the first of Hastings' many ex-wives. Not much is known about her yet, other than the fact that she is Catholic and, since divorcing Hastings, has become a successful psychiatrist. Hope does not hate her ex-husband, despite his best efforts. Peter's father, Tom Wipp, is an independently wealthy layabout who is often distracted by organized sports and frequent naps. He used to have a spectacular career, but that was a long tme ago. A single father, Tom loves his son and makes every effort to spend time with him. Eli and Hastings' father Karl is a bit of a mooch, and due to a series of boneheaded and highly stupid occurences, now spends most of his time in prison. He just wants what's best for his sons, and at the top of that list is to keep them away from their mother... whatever the cost. Mr. Ladwig is one of Hastings' bosses at Poisonwood Brands. He has the patience of a saint, usually giving Hastings more respect than he deserves. Mr. Ladiwg's job is often made more difficult by the people under him.

Grant Sherman Samantha Mudrick Ollie the Janitor Ned Gooseberry Pestilence Moresorrow
Grant's First Appearance! Mudrick's First Appearance! Ollie's First Appearance! Ned's First Appearance! Pesty's First Appearance!
Grant is Peter's best friend at school. He is a meek, nerdly fellow who loves civil war reenactments, science fiction, and role-playing games. Miss Samantha Mudrick is another one of Hastings' bosses at Poisonwood, and oddly enough the one he most resents, given that she is a quietly religious doormat. Ollie the Janitor is a pessimistic Portuguese cyclops who cleans up after the employees of Poisonwood Brands. Ned Gooseberry lives in Blight Point, CA and is the owner and CEO of Poisonwood Brands.

He is a very bad man.

Pestilence is a "goth" girl who goes to school with Peter. Peter has a crush on her, but we don't know yet if she shares his sentiments. Pestilence hates her stepfather and enjoys skulls.
